Eskom has announced that planned load reduction will continue across parts of Gauteng this week, with several areas facing scheduled power cuts during morning and evening peak hours.
The utility advised residents and businesses to prepare for outages that could last up to five hours, depending on their location. The schedule follows a seven-day rotation, giving communities some predictability around when they will be affected.

Morning load reduction (5am–9am) will impact areas including Lakeside, Ga-Rankuwa, Kopanong, Diepkloof and Stretford.
Evening load reduction (5pm–10pm) will affect regions such as Tsakane, Zithobeni, Cosmo City and neighbouring areas.
Additional communities on this week’s schedule include Orange Farm, Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, Langaville, Protea Glen, Duduza, Meadowlands, Naledi, Khutsong, Magogwe Centre, and Zandspruit Outlying, among others.
Eskom said the measure remains necessary to protect local infrastructure from overloading during periods of high demand.
